Today's focus (pun intended): glasses!

Tell me darlings, do you wear glasses? If so, where do you buy your frames?

Do you like D&G's Fall 2008 ad campaign, pictured at left?

I noticed that American Apparel has started to carry a wider variety of frames, and most are in the $50 range . . . But of course thy are prescription-free, which is kinda fun, too! Glasses as accessory rather than necessity?

Oh yes, eyeglasses can make a statement, but I felt so hurt with the things kids told me in school when I began to wear them, that when I could use contact lenses it was one of the best days of my life.
So I rarely wear them, but I always wear sunglasses.

Maybe if I got someone like you in school to help me I wasn't so traumatize :)

I wear glasses when I'm lounging around at home. They're these old frames I've had since high school and they look quite beat-up since I'm always falling asleep in them and such. I don't want to splurge on fantastic new frames because I know I'll nod off in them while reading.

Congrats on reaching your 300th post yesterday!

Even though it took me a while to get the first pun (focus), I do agree that glasses are SPECtacular. I am guilty of popping out the lenses on sunglasses and wearing them as glasses.

I am starting to need glasses desperately, but I'm not going to give in as long as I can see what's on the computer screen. This is a computer I'm typing on, right? Because yesterday I typed a bunch of stuff on Henry the dog and it just annoyed him.

I really wanted to wear glasses because I love the cool-geek look. And also becase I'm the biggest of geeks. It would suit me ;D But my eye doctor insists that I don't need it...

I wear glasses for my short-sighedness (well I shoud but I never do :P) Mine are a pair of Versace silver rectangular frames which IMO dont suit me. I'd really like to get some wayfarer style ones because I love my sunglasses!

glasses are cute when you don't always have to wear them to see! i am blind as a bat, and i hate wearing mine all the time, so i've stuck with contacts for years now.

I'm shortsighted (dammit!) so I wear glasses. I hate contacts and wear them only when I play soccer.

But I must say, glasses are becoming quite fashionable these days!

Everyone wants to look like a nerd ;)

Just in time dear!!! I'm planning on buying new frames. I'm fed up with contacts. Hmm... difficult choices. But I think, the winner for me is... *drum roll*... the Phillip Lim pink glasses!!!

I think it is shock to most of us that we need glasses but really is walking around squinting very glamourous? There are so many fabulous eyeglass styles avvailable and for great prices that anyone who wears eyeglasses should realy consider having an eyeglass wardrobe.Honestly do you really want to wear the tortoise pair you had on with great jeans also with a great little black dress that evening? I got three pairs from simplyeyeglasses.com- A DKNY, a Adrienne Vittadini and a Bebe frame all for a little more than one pair would have cost from my doctors office.
